Yesterday, I once again had the pleasure to work with one of my favorite photographers Callaghan Walsh and the amazingly sweet stylist Natalie Trevis, joined by the incredibly wonderful model Oona @ Bareface (who I had not worked with before).
Call and Nats wanted to shoot a story based on a modern sexy interpretation of an underlying military theme. Our model Oona was absolutely amazing, fully committed and ambitious to give the shoot her very best she impressed everyone with her incredible moves and truly captured the emotional value of the theme.
The day before, Oona had been shooting in the Dubai desert with Tina Chang, for The National's M Magazine, leaving her face burnt and dry from 13 hours sun exposure at 38C degrees. She felt horrible about it and so did I thinking of the full day shoot that lay ahead of us :) ... but trusting in my RCMA foundation I let it work its miracle. You have to know that Oona's skin is the "fairest of them all", hence the sunburn, despite all precautions taken by both the Makeup Artist and Photographer.
Thinning out the foundation I worked a very thin layer into the skin, setting only with the tiniest bit of powder to avoid bringing out the fine lines caused all over her face by the sunburn and subsequent dryness. Worked like a dream ... thank God :)
I created large dark winged eyes made from Chanel Eye Gloss along with Illamasqua's gold Liquid Metal to shine through the ueber-long bangs of the awesome Forever Young wigs I had recently purchased on a trip to New York (best purchase ever ... so pleased with how they photograph!).
Here a couple of previews ... with more to follow soon!
